The Masters Leaderboard – Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau

The Masters leaderboard

We’re now in the final stage of The Masters, and it promises to be a fascinating one. Rory McIlroy holds a two-shot lead on 12 under, with Bryson DeChambeau not far behind, but the pair have an esteemed group of chasers in their wake. Those players include 2018 champion Patrick Reed, 2021 winner Hideki Matsuyama, Scottie Scheffler, Ludvig Aberg and two-time U.S. Open champion Shane Lowry, all of whom are just six shots off the top spot.

The final group tees off at 2:30pm, and it will see McIlroy paired alongside DeChambeau. The Northern Irishman pushed his opening tee shot right of the first fairway, and he’s currently laying up with a bogey.

McIlroy is playing well, but he needs to be better over the weekend if he wants to claim his first green jacket at Augusta. He finished sixth at the Masters last year, and he’ll need to be much better if he wants to add to that total.

Justin Rose is a player who knows how to find his way to the top of the leaderboard, and the Englishman has the opportunity to do just that on Sunday. He was tied for the lead in the opening round, but he fell back to level par after shooting 75 in the second round. However, he has an excellent track record at Augusta and will be confident of moving up the chasing pack.
